How Long Is The Training
Once you are sure you want to be a beauty professional in Alaska you’ll need to get training at one of the state-approved schools. The minimum hourly requirement to qualify to take board-specified exams is 1,650 hours. Depending on how you do this training it could take up to one and a half years, and more like two years if your want a degree from a college.
Once you’ve completed the required training you can apply for a license. To actually get the license, though, you’ll have to complete the exams and pay the license fee. To get your license renewed you’ll need t pay a fee every two years. You are not required to completed any hours of training to qualify for renewal.
