The theory exam is a multiple choice written test. You must get at least a 70% on this exam to pass.
The practical involves a kit, and hand mannequin to test out your knowledge of nail structure, personal hygiene, tools, and equipment, and application and removal of nail tips, gels, and acrylics, among other things. You must pass with a 75% to qualify for licensure. You will be given your scores on the day of your exam. You can apply for your license after you’ve passed both tests.
