How To Get Your Arkansas Nail License
Arkansas is home to a number of good schools at which you can nail technician schools. It also has a state board of cosmetology that regulates — along with the health board — the beauty industry including nail tech training and aspects of nail salons like their equipment and safety.
Nail students in AR require 600 hours of training to qualify to take the licensing exams. Once exams are passed all that is needed is a licensing fee and receipt of your license then you are qualified to work! Every two years you will need to pay a fee to get re-licensed, but there are no continuing education requirements at this time.
There are predicted to be plenty of good jobs for beauty school graduates in the coming years with nail job growth in AR expected to outpace growth in other types of employment. Schools often offer assistance with job placement after graduation. Arkansas Workforce Centers can also be a great aid with career searches.
